Swedish-born photographer Maja Daniels has won the first Contour by Getty Images Portrait Prize for her Mady and Monette series.

Exhibition from October 10th to October 24th, 2013, at the Galerie Polka, Cour de Venise, 12 rue Saint-Gilles 75003 Paris.

Her winning entry was based on a portfolio of images from her long-term project “Mady and Monette,” following a pair of identical twins through their lives and the streets of Paris.

Maja Daniels is based in London. Having studied journalism, sociology and photography (gratuated form Speos in 2006), her work focuses on creative documentary and portraiture. Using sociology as a frame of research and approach, Daniels’ work focuses on human relations in a western, contemporary environment.

She is represented by Picturetank in Paris.
