Studio techniques will be introduced, as well as lectures regarding art business, the art market for photographers, the portfolio, prints, editions, galleries, how to sell work, laws, copyrights, and how to work as a fine art photographer in general.
Participants are required to have some previous experience in photography and some knowledge on how to use a camera.
Duration: 15 hours
Dates: June 24-28, 2019
Tuition: € 750 / £ 675
This workshop combines studio technique, shoots workshop, lectures, critique and editing.
Participants are first introduced to the techniques of studio photography in a very practical way: use of studio equipment, electronic flashes, basic studio lighting techniques, large format cameras, as well as the Stop System method. The aim is to teach participants how to handle sometimes difficult lighting conditions once outside in the streets.
Participants will then go out on the street and will get to know tips and tricks on capturing the extraordinary in the everyday. The group will then meet at school to share feedback and discuss ways to improve technique and imagery.
